6 injured in JnU journos clash

JAGANNATH UNIVERSITY: Six journalists were injured in a clash between two groups of Jagannath University Journalist Samity on the university campus on Sunday noon.

The injured journalists include Jagannath University Journalist Samity president Kazi Mobarak Hossain, Alokito Bangladesh correspondent Muniruzzaman Tufan, Dainik Bartaman correspondent Subrata Mandal, Sakaler Khabor correspondent Tanvir Raihan, Dainik Sangbad correspondent Mohammad Shahin and Dainik Arhtonitee Protidin correspondent Raj.

Sources said Jagannath University Journalist Samity caught two journalists with fake identity cards. 

Then, Dainik Kaler Kantho university correspondent Jasim Reza locked into altercation with the organization president.

Following the altercation, Dainik Samakal correspondent Al Amin Hossain, Prothom Alo correspondent and other journalists attacked them, leaving six injured. 

Later, the injured people were admitted to National Medical College Hospital and later shifted to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
