Leaders of the Alliance for Nationalisation of MPO-Listed Educational Institutions met BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir today at the BNP Chairperson’s Gulshan office to discuss their demands.
During the hour-long meeting, alliance leaders highlighted their key demands, including the nationalisation of all private educational institutions and provision of 20 percent house rent allowance alongside teachers’ basic salaries.
Responding to the teachers, Mirza Fakhrul assured that if BNP comes to power in the next election, their demands would be considered a priority, according to BNP Media Cell Member Shayrul Kabir Khan.
The teacher representatives expressed satisfaction with the discussions. Delwar Hossain Azizi, Member Secretary of the Alliance, said they were reassured by Fakhrul’s sincerity. “He not only gave us assurance but also showed genuine interest in implementation, which has inspired our movement further,” he added.
The meeting reflects BNP’s efforts to engage with educational stakeholders ahead of the upcoming national elections.
