Admission seekers threaten of mass gathering

DHAKA: The protesting admission seekers threatened mass gathering on October 25 at Central Shaheed Minar to press home their demand of giving chance for appearing in admission test for the second time at University of Dhaka (DU).

The announcement came from a protest program at DU Teacher Student Centre (TSC) from 9:00am to 1:00pm Sunday.

Earlier in the morning, police detained five admission seekers of DU in front of Teacher Student Centre (TSC) when they were trying to stage demonstration.

Later, the law enforcers freed them in the face of students gathering and chanting slogan in the area.

They would submit a memorandum to DU vice chancellor (VC) Professor Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique and mass gathering on October 25 if their demand is not met.

However, DU VC told through a press release that the act may be changed if needed.
