5 Shibir activists detained

CHITTAGONG: Police detained five activists of Chhatra Shibir, student wing of Jamaat-e-Islami, for their alleged link with attack on teachers’ buses on Wednesday.

Following the bomb attack in buses, law enforcers, in a drive, held them from Chhararkul and Foteyabad areas of the Hathazari upazila of the district.

The identity of the detainees could not be known immediately. 

Hathazari thana Inspector (Investigation)  Abul Kashem Bhuiyan told banglanews that five Shibir men was held for suspected link with attack of teacher bus.

The drive is going on. After completion of the drive, details will be disclosed. 

At least twelve people, including nine teachers, of Chittagong University sustained injuries in bomb attacks by Islami Chhatra Shibir, student wing of Jamaat-e-Islami, on two buses carrying the varsity’s teachers on Wednesday morning.
