ICT-educated youths tools to build nation

NOAKHALI SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY UNIVERSITY (NSTU): Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid on Monday said youths who are well versed in information and communication technology are the tools to build a developed country.

The education minister made the observation while addressing the maiden convocation of Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU).

Urging the graduates to work to build the digital Bangladesh, he said, “Indomitable aspirations and sincerity of efficient and brilliant graduates can shape the future Bangladesh.”

With registrar of the university Professor Dr M Mominul Haque in the chair, NSTU regent board member Ekramul Karim Chowdhury MP, Vice Chancellor Professor AKM Saidul Haque Chowdhury and Science Faculty Dean Dr Abul Hossain also spoke.

Around 600 graduate and 150 post-graduate students were awarded in the convocation.

Besides, eight students were given Chancellor Gold Medal and three were given Vice-Chancellor awards.
