NU exams suspended for hartal

DHAKA: All examinations under National University (NU), scheduled to be held on Thursday, Sunday and Monday, have been suspended due to hartal called by Jamaat-e-Islami.

The disclosure came from a press release on Wednesday.

The release signed by NU public relations and publication department director Fayzul Karim said the examinations of those three days were suspended due to unavoidable reasons.

New schedules will be published on the newspapers and the university’s website soon, the release added.

The date of other examinations will remain unchanged, it added.

Jamaat-e-Islami called countrywide 72-hour hartal for Thursday, Sunday and Monday protesting the verdict of International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) in the war crimes cases against Motiur Rahman Nizami.
