Scholarships for study in India

DHAKA: The Indian Council of Cultural Relations (ICCR), Government of India offered scholarships to meritorious Bangladeshi nationals for the academic session 2015-16.

The scholarship schemes include various courses at the Under Graduate, Post Graduate and PhD level, except in Medicine:
 
(i)                   Bangladesh Scholarship Scheme;
(ii)                  India Scholarship Scheme; and
(iii)                Commonwealth Scholarship Scheme.
 
Candidates are required to have proficiency in English and should have secured minimum 60 percent marks or GPA 3 out of GPA 5 in the qualifying examination. 

The application forms for these scholarships along with further information / instructions may be downloaded from the website of the High Commission of India, Dhaka (www.hcidhaka.gov.in).

Candidates would have to download, fill (which should be typed and not hand written), sign the application form and e-mail it as a pdf document to the HCI Dhaka (attedu@hcidhaka.gov.in), AHCI, Chittagong (consular@colbd.net) and AHCI, Rajshahi  (hoc.rajshahi@mea.gov.in) along with other attachments.  The last date of submission of form through mail is January 10, 2015.  

However, hard copies of the application forms with supporting documents (duly certified) have to be submitted, in duplicate, at the time of interview along with 6 passport size photographs.
