JAHANGIRNAGAR UNIVERSITY, SAVAR: A two-day information technology (IT) festival with the slogan of ‘ICT for Environment’ is going on at the university from Friday.

‘IT Society’ of the university has organized the event titled ‘1st National Technology Festival’. Students from 40 different educational institutes – 10 colleges and 30 universities – have participated there.

The event featured gamming event, programming, and workshops on outsourcing, cyber crimes, 3D and game development.

A seminar, main event of the festival, will be held on Saturday. Education minister Nurul Islam Nahid will attend the seminar as chief guest while lawmaker of Dhaka-19 constituency Dr M Enamur Rahman will be as special guest.
