Polytechnic’s questions leaked, 6 held

DHAKA: Detective Branch (DB) of police detained six people for their alleged involvement in leaking the question papers of the diploma examinations of polytechnic institutes scheduled to be held on August 12.

The detainees were identified as Sumon Ahmed, Abdur Rahman, Abdur Rahman alias Liton, SM Tanvir Alam alias Rizvi, Jony Rahman and Arafat Hossain, students of Jessore Polytechnic Institute and a private polytechnic institute of the district town.

DB also seized a tab and six mobile phone sets (whose memory cards were full of question papers).

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) joint Commissioner Monirul Islam disclosed that matter in a press briefing at DMP media center in city at noon.

Several other names were known from them, he added.
