CHITTAGONG: The authorities of Chittagong University (CU) has been suspended 20 students temporarily for torturing female students, suspected militancy link, creating unstable situation on the campus.

The information was revealed in a press briefing at proctor office of the varsity on Thursday noon.

CU proctor Ali Asgar Chowdhury told banglanews that some 20 students, studying at different departments of the varsity have been suspended for different terms.

The decision was taken as the serious allegations, including torturing female students, creating anarchy, brought against them were proved, he added.
