DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday evening (January 18) assured the protesting teachers of public universities to meet their demands.

She also called them to return to their work.

The PM made this call after a meeting with Federation of Bangladesh University Teachers Association (FBUTA) leaders at her official residence Ganabhaban in city.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, FBUTA general secretary Professor Maksud Kamal said that the premier called them to give the assurance regarding their demands.

‘We will inform the media detailed on Tuesday (January 19),’ he added.
