Books donated to Manhattan Bangla School

DHAKA: Consul General of Bangladesh in New York Md. Shameem Ahsan, ndc, donated few sets of books to Manhattan Bangla Cultural School.

The books, for the students from class 1 to V, were donated on January 30.

Published by Bangladesh National Curriculum and Textbook Board, the books were received by the jubilant students in presence of school management committee president Manika Roy, committee members, teachers and guardians, among others.

The Consul General assured to make more books available in near future.

It may be mentioned here that Manhattan Bangla Cultural School was launched recently to help the children of Bangladesh community in New York learn their mother tongue as well as retain and nurture the unique and distinct culture and tradition of Bangladesh.
