DHAKA: Famous Bangladeshi rock musician and one of the leading guitarists Ayub Bacchu died in Dhaka Thursday (Oct 18) morning.

He was 56.

He was taken to Square Hospital after he fell sick at his residence.

He was pronounced dead by the physicians. 

Ayub Bacchu was the founding member, vocal and lead guitarist of celebrated band LRB.

LRB’s drummers Rumel and Shamim confirmed the news of Bacchu’s death.

Bachchu was born in Chittagong on 16 August 1962. He started his music career there with the band FEELINGS in 1978. From 1980 to 1990, he was a member of Souls as lead guitarist. In 1991, he formed his own band, LRB.

His songs like “Ghum Vanga Shohore”, "Madhobi", “Cholo Bodle Jai”, “Ekhon Onek Raat”, "Rupali guiter" and “Hashte Dekho” are some of the greatest hits in Bangladeshi music era.

Ayub Bacchu also wrote lyrics and tuned songs too.
