CHITTAGONG:   Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin has declared to erect a bust of legendary singer, guitarist and songwriter Ayub Bachchu in any significant area of the city.

The CCC mayor said this after the fourth namaz-e-janaza at the Jamiatul Falah Mosque on Saturday (October 20).

AJM Nasir Uddin said, “A bust of Chittagong’s beloved son will be installed in any area of the city. The decision will be made in a general meeting of City Corporation in this regard.”

“I had a conversation with Bachchu a few days ago. He expressed his wish to build a house in Chittagong. He said he wanted to spend the remainder of his life with his father in that house,” the mayor added.
