DHAKA:  Police recovered body of actor Tanvir Hasan from his residence in city’s Uttara on Friday afternoon (January 18).

Police, after recovering the body from Uttara Sector 4, sent it to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) morgue for autopsy.

Having supper, Tanvir went to bed around 12 am on Friday. His room was locked inside. House maid discovered him hanging from the ceiling fan of his room around 10:30 am, Abdur Rahim, sub inspector of Uttara East Police station, told Banglanews.

Prima facie, it seems suicide. However, autopsy will determine cause of death, SI added.

Tanvir was a student of drama and dramatics of Jahangirnagar University. He had been working with advertisements alongside acting.

He had no work for about 4-5 years. Tanvir suffered a stroke one and half months ago. He was suffering from depression too, according to brother in-law Ishtiaque Ahmed.
