DHAKA: Eminent author Imdadul Haq Milon won the Dadabhai Shishu Sahitya Puraskar 2019 for his contributions to Bangla literature. 

Children’s author Faridur Reza Sagar also was honored with the same award, initiated by Bangladesh Shishu Sahitya Sangsad.

Milon and Sagar were handed over the awards amid formal arrangements at Channel i building in Dhaka Wednesday (Jan 30).

Theatre personalities Ataur Rahman, Mamunur Rashid, Syed Hasan Imam, Ali Imam and writer Faruk Hossain handed over the writer duo the awards.

Shishu Academy Director Anjir Liton, Dadabhai Shishu Sahitya Puraskar 2019 committee chief coordinator Amirul Islam and writer Rokanuzzaman Khan’s granddaughter Priyota, among others, were present.

The award was named after writer Rokanuzzaman Khan, who was popularly known as ‘Dadabhai’.
