Jennifer Lawrence has confirmed she is engaged to boyfriend Cooke Maroney.

Speculation that the 28-year-old actress was engaged to the 34-year-old art dealer began when she was spotted wearing a "massive ring" while on a date night in New York at the weekend, Page Six reported.

A source told the outlet: "It was a giant rock. They seemed like they were celebrating and people were talking about it. The ring was very noticeable."

Lawrence was first linked to Maroney in June 2018.

Reports in the US say the couple was introduced by Lawrence's friend Laura Simpson.

The actress split from director Darren Aronofsky in November 2017.
