DHAKA: Actor Ferdous and actress Purnima suffered injuries shooting for a film ‘Gangchil’ directed by Noyeem Imtiaz Neamul in a bike accident in Companiganj upazila of Noakhali.

The accident took place on Sunday (Feb 10) morning when the motorbike riding by Purnima and her co-artist Ferdous skidded off the road as Purnina lost control over the steering, leaving both of then injured, said Imtiaz Neamul.

Ferdous and Purnima were filming Gangchil, a novel written by Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader, a scene involving riding a motorbike. They were taken to Basurhat Hospital after first aid, he added.

Once x-ray was done, whether any fracture develops in their arms will be confirmed. After the accident, shooting of the film has been packed up, the director, who is familiar for his film ‘Ek Cup Cha’  

Anisur Rahman Milon, Tarik Anam Khan and Indian actress Rituporna Sengupta are the co-artists in the film.
