Nirab joins ‘Banglasia 2.0’ cast mates in Malaysian premiere The premiere held in TGV Cinemas, Petaling Jaya city, Malaysia.

DHAKA: Dhallywood actor-model Nirab Hossain joined the Malaysian premiere of his much-awaited action-comedy ‘Banglasia 2.0’ in Malaysian city of Petaling Jaya Tuesday (Feb 26) night.

The movie was premiered at two theaters of TGV Cinemas in Sunway Pyramid shopping mall amid gracious atmosphere.   

For obvious, it was a special screening to Nirab for which he had to wait not less than five years!

“Feeling so amazing. And yet mixed too. Enjoying the show with the whole Banglasia team. Most of the attendees are Malaysian, Chinese and Thai. I think I’m the lone Bangladeshi midst of them,” Nirab told Banglanews over phone.

“The applause I received here is heartwarming,” he added. 

He arrived in Malaysia at early hours of Tuesday morning by a Malaysian Airlines flight took off from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.

Though ‘the 5-year-challenge’ is over but Banglasia 2.0’s Singaporean actress Atikah Suhaime missed the premiere due to packed shooting schedule, said the actor.

The movie will be released initially in 111 theatres in Malaysia on Feb 28. 

The 2014 film was obstructed by Malaysian Film Censorship Board due to some ‘controversial scenes’. Director Namewee finally received green signal on Feb 12 following several cuts and reshoots.

Nirab said his Banglasia team want him with them till the release day. So, the date of his returning home remains unconfirmed!

On Wednesday (Feb 27), he was attending second day premiere in Damansara township of Kuala Lumpur. 

Apart from Nirab and Suhaime, the movie stars Malaysian artists Saiful Apek, David Arumugam, Shashi Tharan and director Namewee.
