DHAKA: Film actor Tele Samad has passed away at city’s Square Hospital on Saturday (April 6).

The legendary actor breathed his last at 1:30 pm, Sohela Samad, daughter of the deceased, confirmed the matter to Banglanews. 

He died at the age of 74.

Tele Samad was born in Munshiganj on January 8 of 1945 . He acted in over 600 films

Samad made his debut in 1973 with film Kar Bou, but made breakthrough in the film Paye Choler Poth .

He studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Dhaka University.
