DHAKA: Veteran actor ATM Shamsuzzaman was admitted to a hospital in Gendaria of the capital city after he had fallen sick Friday (April 26) night.

He was taken to the operation theatre as his condition was deteriorating Saturday (April 27) noon.

The actor's younger brother Sheikh Russesl Krira Chakra Director Saleh Jaman Selim confirmed the matter to Banglanews.

"He is over 80 now. He has old age problems. He was admitted to the hospital for excretory complications," he said.

However, the actor will undergo a surgery, added his brother.
