Renowned film producer Nasir Uddin Dilu passed away at a Dhaka hospital on Tuesday morning.
Dilu, a former member of the Bangladesh Film Censor Board, breathed his last at United Hospital in Dhaka around 10:00 am.
Khorshed Alam Khasru, president of Bangladesh Film Producers and Distributors Association, confirmed this information to Banglanews.
Khasru said the producer was admitted to hospital after sustaining head injuries few days back. Later he tested positive for Covid-19. In addition, he was suffering from various old-age related complications and diseases.
He died while undergoing treatment this morning. Since he was contracted Covid-19, safety measures will be taken during his namaz-e-janaza and burial.
Dilu produced over 15 films in his long career. He was served twice as president of Bangladesh Film Producers and Distributors Association.
