One dengue patient died and 498 more people were hospitalised with the mosquito-borne disease across the country in the last 24 hours Friday (Nov 04).

In the 24 hours, 325 new dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka, said the DGHS release.

However, 173 dengue patients were admitted outside the capital.

According to DGHS, 2,232 patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals of Dhaka while 1,428 other patients are being treated in hospitals outside Dhaka.

Some 41,481 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue till today while 37,659 patients returned home after recovery since January 1.

However, this year a total 162 died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Bangladesh till today. 

However, 28,429 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue while 28,265 patients recovered in last year. A total of 105 died from the mosquito-borne disease during that time.
