One dengue patient died and 266 more people were hospitalised with the mosquito-borne disease across the country in the last 24 hours Friday (Nov 11).

In the 24 hours, 150 new dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka, said the DGHS release.

However, 116 dengue patients were admitted outside the capital.

According to DGHS, 1,923 patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals of Dhaka while 1,329 other patients are being treated in hospitals outside Dhaka.

Some 46,752 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue till today while 43,307 patients returned home after recovery since January 1.

However, this year a total 193 died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Bangladesh till today.

However, 28,429 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue while 28,265 patients recovered in last year. A total of 105 died from the mosquito-borne disease during that time.
