Six dengue patients died and 918 more people were hospitalised with the mosquito-borne disease across the country in the last 24 hours Saturday (Nov 12).

In the 24 hours, 530 new dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka, said the DGHS release.

However, 388 dengue patients were admitted outside the capital.

According to DGHS, 2,024 patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals of Dhaka while 1,251 other patients are being treated in hospitals outside Dhaka.

Some 47,670 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue till today while 44,196 patients returned home after recovery since January 1.

However, this year a total 199 died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Bangladesh till today.

However, 28,429 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue while 28,265 patients recovered in last year. A total of 105 died from the mosquito-borne disease during that time.
