Dengue: One dies, 685 hospitalised in last 24 hours

One dengue patient died and 685 more people were hospitalised with the mosquito-borne disease across the country in the last 24 hours Thursday (Nov 17).

In the 24 hours, 353 new dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka, said the DGHS release.

However, 332 dengue patients were admitted outside the capital.

According to DGHS, 2,750 patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals of Bangladesh.

Some 51,444 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue till today while 48,477 patients have returned home after recovery since January 1.

However, this year a total 217 died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Bangladesh till today.

However, 28,429 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue while 28,265 patients recovered in last year. A total of 105 died from the mosquito-borne disease during that time.
