One dengue patient died and 519 more people were hospitalised with the mosquito-borne disease across the country in the last 24 hours Thursday (Nov 24).

In the 24 hours, 258 new dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka, said the DGHS release.

However, 261 dengue patients were admitted outside the capital.

According to DGHS, 1,142 patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals of Dhaka while 880 other patients are being treated in hospitals outside Dhaka.

Some 54,924 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue till today while 52,661 patients returned home after recovery since January 1.

However, this year a total 241 died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Bangladesh till today.

However, 28,429 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue while 28,265 patients recovered in last year. A total of 105 died from the mosquito-borne disease during that time.
