Dengue: One dies, 108 hospitalised in last 24 hours

One dengue patient died and 108 more people were hospitalised with the mosquito-borne disease across the country in the last 24 hours Tuesday (Dec 20).

In the 24 hours, 67 new dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka, said the DGHS release.

However, 41 dengue patients were admitted outside the capital.

According to DGHS, 311 patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals of Dhaka while 249 other patients are being treated in hospitals outside Dhaka.

Some 61,629 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue till today while 60,777 patients returned home after recovery since January 1.

However, this year a total 272 died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Bangladesh till today.

However, 28,429 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue while 28,265 patients recovered in last year. A total of 105 died from the mosquito-borne disease during that time.
