At least 15 more dengue patients died while 1,728 others were hospitalised in 24 hours till 8 am today (November 3), said the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

In the 24 hours, 6,270 dengue patients were admitted in and out of Dhaka, said the DGHS release.

Besides, this year a total of 1,370 died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Bangladesh till today.

A total of 2,74,806 were infected by the Dengue virus this year.

As many as 2,67,166 Dengue patients recovered this year. 

According to DGHS, 1,762 patients are now undergoing treatment in different hospitals in Dhaka while 4,508 patients are being treated in hospitals outside Dhaka.

Last year, a total of 281 died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Bangladesh. However, 28,429 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue while 28,265 patients recovered last year.
