At least eight more dengue patients died while 1, 895 others were hospitalised in 24 hours till 8 am today (November 7), said the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

In the 24 hours, 394 dengue patients were admitted in Dhaka while 1,501 dengue patients were admitted outside the capital, said the DGHS release.

Besides, this year a total of 1,425 died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Bangladesh till today.

A total of 2,83,593 were infected by the Dengue virus this year. 

As many as 2,75,613 Dengue patients recovered this year. 

According to DGHS, 6,555 patients are now undergoing treatment in different hospitals in Dhaka and outside Dhaka.

Last year, a total of 281 died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Bangladesh. However, 28,429 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue while 28,265 patients recovered last year.
