7,000 doctors to be appointed after Eid

JAMALPUR: Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim on Saturday said the government would give promotion to several hundreds physicians and appoint some 7,000 new ones.

The health minister made the disclosure while talking to journalists after visiting the 250-seat Jamalpur General Hospital in the noon.

“Khaleda Zia is thinking for vandalism and arson after the Eid-ul-Fitr while we are meditating on developing the country. This is the difference between us,” he said.

The senior Awami League leader also said: “The government has been doing everything within its reach for the development of health sector.”

He further said the educational activities and admission of students at Jamalpur Medical College and Hospital will be started from the next session (2015-16).

State Minister of Textiles and Jute Affairs Ministry Mirza Azam MP, Mahzabin Mosharraf Baby MP, Superintendent of Police Nazrul Islam, district AL president Advocate Baki Billah and general secretary Faruk Ahmed Chowdhury, among others, was present here.
