The death toll from the coronavirus infection in Bangladesh has crossed a grim milestone of 20,000 on Wednesday (July 28).

The health authorities have registered 237 new deaths in the 24 hours, taking the total toll to 20,016.

Besides, 16,230 people have tested positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours, raising the total number of coronavirus cases in the country to 12,10,982.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) disclosed the update of the country’s coronavirus situation issuing a press release this afternoon.

Bangladesh reported its first Coronavirus case on March 8 in last year while first death on March 18 in that year.
