India logs 36,401 Covid-19 cases, 530 deaths in 24-hr [photo collected]

Some 36,401 new cases of coronavirus infections detected on Wednesday. Kerala reported 21,427 new cases, Maharashtra had 5,132.

Over 50 crore samples have so far been tested in India. Over 3.23 crore have been found to be positive till now.

Active cases came down to 3.64 lakh.

530 deaths reported on Wednesday. Total death toll now exceeds 4.33 lakh.

Kerala on Wednesday reported 21,427 new Covid-19 cases, according to the state government’s data, taking the infection count to 7,25,005. It also reported 179 deaths.
