Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Maleque on Monday urged everybody to be registered through Surokkha app and receive the jab as no mass vaccination campaign will be held in the near future.

He revealed the information while taking to journalist after a cabinet meeting this morning.

The minister also said Bangladesh has set a target to vaccinate 7-8 crore people by next February.

Some six million doses of the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine will arrive in Dhaka in September under Covax facilities, he said.

“The Pfizer vaccine is a special type of vaccine that needs to be stored at minus 90 degrees Celsius temperature”, Zahid Maleque added.
