GAZIPUR: Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury on Saturday observed that solving the current political crisis would be possible through talks.
“We are even moving towards talks. So, I am hopeful that ongoing political crisis will be dissolved through talks between the ruling and the opposition parties,” she said.
She came up with the observation in response to a query of a journalist after inaugurating the 5-day 5th National Scout for the physically challenged at The National Scout Training Center (NSTC) at Mouchak in Gazipur in the morning.
She, however, did not comment after the question of what would happen if the opposition won’t agree to participate in the elections under partisan government.
She also praised various programmes taken by the incumbent government including passing acts favourable to the challenged in the Parliament.
With the secretary of Social Welfare Ministry Suraiya Begum in the chair, the programme was also addressed, among others, by Scouts Abul Kalam Azad and Nazma Shams.
