DHAKA: Shakhawat Amin, Dhaka university (DU) correspondent of banglanews24.com, was injured as miscreants attacked him at DU campus in city on Wednesday night.

Witnesses said a student of North South University named Wasim knocked Amin and locked into altercation and last of all the dispute was settled.

Later, Wasim suddenly attacked Amin and hit on his head by heavy tiles while he was having snacks with his friend in the area, leaving him critically injured.

Meanwhile, Amin was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Following the matter, a case was filed with Shahbagh police station.

Later, law enforcers arrested the attacker from a house in city’s Siddeshwari area and he is now being integrated in police custody.
