GAIBANDHA: Two people of a family were killed under wheels of a train in Trimohoni rail station area on of the district on Thursday noon.

The deceased were identified as Jahid Mia, 13, son of Rafiqul and Shila, 1, daughter of Shafiqul of Purbo Kumran area. They were cousin.

Witnesses said a Dhaka-bound Lalmoni Express train crashed Jahid and Shila around 2:00pm, leaving Shila dead on the spot and Jahid injured critically.

Jahid was rushed to Gaibandha Sadar Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries on way to the hospital.

Officer-in-Charge of Sadar Thana Gopal Chandra confirmed the matter to banglanews.
