DHAKA: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel were deployed in the capital ahead of 84-hour hartal called by BNP-led 18-party alliance.

A total of 12 platoon BGB members deployed in the important points of the capital from 6:00pm on Saturday to ensure security of city dwellers.

BGB sources said BGB members would perform their duty till Wednesday evening.

On Friday, BNP led 18-party alliance called 84-hour nonstop hartal from Sunday demanding non-partisan polls-time government.
