JESSORE: Rail communications of Khulna with other parts of the country halted after a container train derailed in Churamonkahti area of Jessore early Monday.

The rail communication suspended in early hours of the day when couple of wagons of an rice-laden train derailed on the rail tracks near Churamonkahti crossing area.

A salvage train rushed to the spot at around 6:30am, he added.

The train services will resume after removing the derailed parts of the train from the rail tracks, said Md Saiduzzaman, assistant station master of Jessore railway station.

Jessore Kotwali Model police station Officer-in-Charge Emdadul Haque told banglanews that the derailment is an accident, not sabotage.
