NARAYANGANJ: Four people were killed and 16 others injured in a road accident in Siddhirganj area under Sadar Upazila of the district on Monday morning.

The deceasd were identified as Shahinur Begum, 25, Ayesha Begum, 27, Helena Akhter, 25 and Munna, 27, the driver of bus.

Sources said that a bus carrying RMG workers collided head-on with a truck at around 8:00am in the area, leaving 20 people injured.

Later, the injured were rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where four workers succumbed to their injuries.

Confirming the matter, Siddhirganj police station Sub-Inspector Mamun Mia told banglanews, “The death toll may increase.”
