DHAKA: A total of 257 readymate garment factories at Ashulia will remain closed on Wednesday for security reason.

The disclosure came from a press release issued by Bangladesh Garment Manufactures and Exporters Association BGMEA on Tuesday.

The news release said that per the decision of the factory owners of Ashulia Zone, all factories in the Ashulia zone will remain closed on Wednesday for security reason.

Vice-President of the BGMEA M Shahidullah Azim confirmed the matter to banglanews.
