BOGRA: Two people were killed and two others injured in a road accident on Dhaka-Bogra highway near Ghoga Bridge under Sherpur Upazila of the district early Wednesday.

The deceased were identified as Ziaur Rahman, 32, son of Abdul Hamid and Asadul, 30, son of Sabder Ali.

Sources said that the Dhaka-bound mini truck fell into a roadside ditch as the driver lost control over the steering in the area at around 1:00am, leaving the two dead on the spot.

Later, the injured were sent to Sherpur Health Complex.

Sherpur police station Officer-in-Charge Aminul Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.
