LALMONIRHAT: At least two people were killed and five others injured as a bus plunged into a roadside ditch in Mohendra Nagar area of the district on Wednesday night.

The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Sub-Inspector of Lalmonirhat Sadar Thana Lebu Mia told banglanews that a passenger bus plunged into a roadside ditch as its driver lost control over steering in the area on Lalmoirhat-Kurigram highway around 9:00am, leaving two people dead on the spot and five others injured.

The inured were rushed to local hospitals, he added.
