DHAKA: Armed Police battalion (APBn) arrested a man with 16 gold bars, worth around 2.2 Kg, at Shajalal International Airport on Friday afternoon.

The detainee is Delwar Hossain, 30.

Sources said that the detainee arrived at the airport by Biman Bangladesh Airline (BG-050) from Riyadh at around 4:30pm.

During the checking, APBn personnel seized 16 gold bars along with finger rings and chains from canopy-1.

Armed Police battalion (APBn) Senior ASP Alamgir Hossain Shimul confirmed the matter to banglanews.
