6 killed in B’baria road crash

BRAHMANBARIA: Six people were killed and eight others injured in a road accident in Suhilpur area of the district on Saturday morning.

Of the deceased, four were identified as Shah Alam, 35, son of Malek Mia, from Suhilpur union, Madan Mohan, 35, from Sangra village under Baniachong upazila of Habiganj district, Ilias Mia, 25, also from Baniachong upazila and Rathindra Namshudra, 30.

Witnesses said a tractor collided head-on with two CNG-run auto-rickshaws in the area on Comilla-Sylhet highway around 12:15pm, leaving two dead on the spot and 10 others injured.

Later, the four fatally injured succumbed to their injuries at hospital.

Traffic police inspector M Bayezid confirmed the matter to banglanews.
