30 shops gutted in capital

DHAKA: Some 30 shops were gutted in a fire at Shanir Akhra in the capital on Friday morning.

The fire originated from a road-side tea stall at 8:30am and spread to adjacent shops.

Fire service officer Asma Akter said that on information two fire fighting units rushed to the spot and doused the fire.
