DHAKA: Customs officials seized 161 gold bars weighing 20 kilograms from a flight of Regent airlines landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the city on Tuesday morning.
Wajed Ali, assistant commissioner (customs) of the airport customs, told banglanews that acting on tip off, a team of customs intelligence conducted a search in ‘RX-783’ flight of Regent Airlines from Malaysia and recovered 161 gold bars worth about TK8 crore from toilet commode.
The aircraft landed at the Airport at about 6:00 am.
