In the ongoing nationwide crackdown against criminals, police have arrested 1,665 more suspects in the last 24 hours.

According to the Police Headquarters, 1,151 of the detainees were wanted in previous cases or had outstanding warrants, while 514 others were arrested on various criminal charges.

During the operation, law enforcers also seized one foreign-made pistol, one single-barrel gun, one shooter gun, and five cartridges.

Police said the drives would continue to ensure public safety and curb criminal activities across the country.
