Jamaat-BNP attack hurt 10 in Natore

NATORE: At least 10 people, including police constable, were injured when Jamaat-BNP men attacked police on Dhaka-Natore highway in Boraigram upazila in the distrcit on Tuesday morning.

Meanwhile, Jamaat-BNP activists vandalized a pickup van carrying police and eight goods-laden trucks.

Boraygram’s Bonopara Highway Thana’s Officer-in Charge Masud Parvez confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He said Jamaat-BNP activists attacked the convoy of ten goods-loaded trucks at 11:30am which were heading to Natore with police patrol.

Later, police fired 18 rounds of bullets to save themselves that triggered a clash, leaving 10 people including pick up van driver injured.

Injured police constable Abdul Mannan rushed to Boraigram upazila health complex.
