RAB introduces 2 new battalions

DHAKA: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on Wednesday introduced two more battalions for Rangpur and Mymensingh districts.

As per the RAB headquarters, the newly introduced battalions are RAB-13 for Rangpur and RAB-14 for Mymensingh.

Previously RAB-5 and RAB-8 were undertaking security matters in the areas along with other law enforcing agencies.

Lieutenant Colonel Imran was appointed as commander of the RAB-13 and Additional Deputy Inspector General Lokman Hakim was made commanding officer of RAB-14.

Both of them left Dhaka for their respective workplace by helicopter after office order.
